Ninth Wave are looking to recruit a software developer as part of our 2010 graduate recruitment programme:

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER – NINTH WAVE 

Role

Software developer to work in a dynamic team developing Ninth Wave’s enterprise project management solutions. Working primarily in Java and JavaScript, you’ll be developing and expanding the company’s new, highly-scalable, next-generation product, SmartCore.  To our clients – who include some of Britain’s biggest blue-chip companies in the legal, financial and energy sectors – this is a mission-critical application.  You’ll be given the opportunity to research and investigate new technologies, particularly in the areas of data visualisation, secure communications and enterprise systems interfacing.  In addition to application development and testing you’ll be providing third-line support of existing client installations.  This is a back-office role, based in the company’s head office which is well situated in a vibrant location near The Globe Theatre on London’s South Bank.  Internal and external training is provided as required.

 

Technologies

In addition to Java and JavaScript, familiarity with some of the following technologies would be advantageous; JQuery [javascript library], Ext [javascript UI library], JSON, AJAX, JDBC, HTML/XML, CSS, Eclipse IDE, SQL Server / other relational database.

 

Qualifications
We require either an Honours Degree in Computer Science (or a related discipline), or, an Honours Degree in a numerate discipline plus a higher degree/diploma in Software Development or Object-Oriented Programming. The preferred candidate will be academically strong, intellectually curious and self-motivated.
